Stafford County Fire and Rescue Responds to Residential Fire

Stafford, VA – April 4, 2017 – Stafford County Fire and Rescue units responded to a reported residential fire in the 100 block of Rowser Road at 3:20 p.m. this afternoon. The caller reported a fire in the laundry room. Falmouth Rescue Squad 1 was returning from another call and arrived on scene two minutes after dispatch and reported smoke and fire from the side of the residence. A camper parked on the side of the house was also involved in fire.

Crews operated on the scene for approximately two hours and River Road was shut down for that same time frame. The Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting an investigation as to the cause of the fire. The residents of the home are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Firefighters and EMS personnel from Falmouth Station 1, Stafford Station 2, Mountain View Fire Station 4, Mountain View EMS Station 4, Brooke Station 5, Hartwood Station 6, White Oak Fire Station 7, Aquia Station 9, and the City of Fredericksburg responded to the  alarm.
